Yoga has taught me how to meet life with a greater sense of adventure and levity. It offers my mind respite, my body fortitude and my breath a more even nature. My first encounter with yoga was at a community college in the Bay Area. It made my body and breath feel positively electric, connected and alive. Years later, my practice developed into a beloved ritual under the guidance of Ryan Krupa, Melissa Love and Ryan Glidden of Mosaic Yoga in San Diego, CA.
I obtained RYT 200 hour certification in 2014 with the lovely Jill Sockman and company at Blue Lotus. I went on to deepen my study in 2016 with the fierce and playful Lila Rasa, completing an advanced 300-hour yoga teacher training through Rasa Yoga School.
Including my dear teachers listed above, I'm forever grateful for the guides I've found in fiction, travel, medicine, nature, funny people, my family (both given and chosen) and my two dogs, Moon and Theo.
